Star West Indies Batter (and Wicket Keeper) Nicholas Pooran has taken to his Instagram Account to unveil his official partnership with American Cricket Helmet Manufacturer NXTGEN.
He has captioned his Post : “Staying safe is the ultimate fashion statement” — introducing NXTGEN Cricket helmet my safety partner #beholdingfuture

The helmet seems to copy the famous shape of the SHREY Helmets, which they have used since 2015, and the design is more popular than ever in 2024, with most Cricketers using Shrey. The NXTGEN Helmet also has 2 vertical bars running from the eyeline grille to the middle portion, in an attempt to replicate Masuri's Titanium Range of Helmets.
Nicholas Pooran has used Shrey Helmets before switching to NXTGEN. He has started using NXTGEN from his 2024 Stint at Lucknow Super Giants, where Cricket Geeks have been stumped by his helmet switch, and expected it to be a helmet made by his Bat Sponsor, Sareen Sports (SS).
Fans did not realise NP29's Helmet was made by a small, Newbie American Brand as IPL Rules/Regulations stipulate that Helmet Brand names must be covered, hence the grey/black tape on the side, where the name of the helmet usually sits.

NXTGEN will be looking to capture the market, with a familiar helmet shape/design and gain more attention and popularity at the T20 World Cup. Which Cricketer would you like to see use the NXTGEN Helmet? And would you buy this helmet? Comment Below.
