Nike Back In The Game?

After a 4 Year Hiatus, Nike is soon to be back in the Cricket Scene with their Upcoming Cricket Shoes.

Nike Cricket, which was last seen as the Kit Manufacturer of the Indian Cricket Team in 2019, before being replaced by MPL Sports, released their last products till date, the Nike Lunar Audacity Spikes, the Nike Domain 2 (Metal Spike & Non-Spike) and Nike Potential 3 (Rubber) Shoes.

The shoes are extremely popular among International Cricketers, with majority of them still using the 4 Year Old Model. Jonny Bairstow (England), Shubman Gill, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer (India), Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne (Australia) are some of the headline players who still use the Nike Domain 2 Shoes.

Despite Nike's uncertainity in the Cricket Market, Nike are set to release the much awaited successor, the Nike React Domain 3, in a Low Cut and a High-Cut Model. We also expect the Domain 3 to be the basis for the Rubber Sole Variant, the React Potential 4 (Though Unconfirmed).

These are the clse-up shots of the upcoming HIgh Cut version of the Nike React Domain 3. A Clean White base with an ankle strap, Dragonfly Technology, and an Orange Graphical Swoosh with an outline.

Australia A Player Todd Murphy (Shirt Number 36) wore these shoes during Australia A VS India A.

It will be interesting to see if Australia's Nathan Lyon and other headline Nike Players will wear them during the remaining 2024-25 games, with a release date around Mid-2025 for the shoes. The Shoes are expected to retail around 150 EUR (Approx 130 GBP, 14,000 INR) and have a tentative release date of Mid-2025, though nothing is confirmed.
