Forma using Old Helmets??

Forma Helmets have shared a photograph of the Custom Helmet used by Chennai Super Kings Captain, MS. Dhoni.

This is the same helmet used by most Indian Batters pre-2014. Here you can see MS. Dhoni along with the Little Master himself, Sachin Tendulkar using the same Forma Helmet model in 2011.

West Indies powerhouse Kieron Pollard also uses this older Forma Model, most likely due to comfort and ability to see the ball better.

The main reason is the fact that the newer regulations of helmets (post 2014) have a fixed (unchangeable) 2 Inch Gap between the Peak and the Grille, which is far smaller than the older model of helmets (multiple fixing points on the side of the grille), thereby the older helmets have a bigger gap to see the ball out of.
