English Change at KKR

News from the Purple Camp is the English Opener Jason Roy will miss the IPL 2024 for 'Personal Reasons'. He was signed by KKR as an Injury Replacement in 2023 for a fee of 2.80 Crore INR.

Fellow English Batter + Wicket Keeper Phil Salt will come onboard as a replacement, after being unsold in the auction, much to everyone's surprise.

Salt played for Delhi Capitals for 9 games, scoring 218 runs at a strike rate of 164, with a top score of 87.

He also plays for the Capitals' SA20 Sister Franchise Pretoria Capitals.

The T20I World Number 2 Batter will look to showcase to the other teams they were wrong to overlook him in the auction, and he will most likely play ahead of the Afghanistani Batter + Keeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
