SunRisers Hyderabad will officially announce Patrick (Pat) Cummins as the Captain of the Franchise.

Pat Cummins has recently won the World Cup and the World Test Championship (both against India) in his relatively short Captaincy Tenure, and his Australian Team Coach Daniel Vettori, now the Coach of the SunRisers would have been the reason behind the decision.

This is a blow to South African Aiden Markram, who despite his heroics in leading the Sister Franchise SunRisers Eastern Cape to a Second SA20 Title in a row, will not be a part of the Leadership Group for the Hyderabad Outfit. He may also not be a part of the Starting XI of SRH.

A Double South African Blow as Bowling Coach Dale Steyn will take a break from Coaching duties, leaving the Orange Army without a Bowling Coach for 2024. He is set to rejoin from 2025 Onwards.
